The Burn & Dodge Tools

Make a paper, Change an image...

This week for kimi's Kreative homework we watched a great video showing how to maximize your images using the dodge and burn tool. The video can be found here: Photoshop Cafe
Do make sure you check the homework link to see all of the great images that were posted.

Well this got me thinking...... scary thing huh? :)
You can use your dodge and burn tools with any brush to make a really cool Scrap Paper.
This is my example.

Click for bigger view.

Both tools were set to about 14% opacity and in most cased I clicked over and over.
I started with just a solid red background and played from there. Everything was done with the dodge and burn tool with the exception of the white stain, which I used a brush.
I do hope you give this a try.
Remember.... it is up to you to be Kreative!!

If you would like this paper you may download it here.
PhotoshopBrushes.com is a great site for finding all kinds of free grungy brushes to use on your papers.
Have Fun!!

I found you through the Digital Scrapbooking freebie search engine today. I love your paper; it is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing it. I just bought Photoshop Elements 6 and have been trying to teach myself how to use it.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and leaving me the link to Photoshop Creative Elements Community. I have already been over and browsed around. I was happy to see answers to questions I had been pondering. Hope you are having a great weekend!
