Wild Gradient Art!



Today we are going to make a quick and easy piece of Art.

Open a new document.
Select your gradient tool.
Choose the Chrome gradient color.
Set your blend mode to difference on the top tool bar and pick the liner gradient.
Draw at least 6 lines or until you like it.
Then pick the radial gradient and make some small lines for the circles.

All of this is done on your original background layer.

I love this and thanks for sharing. You are so talented. I went over to the web site and searched and searched for the tutorial so I could try it but I cannot for the life of me locate it. can you direct me with a direct link? Thanks..Deanna

If you have a rar. folder that you need to unzip. You can download a free trial of winRAR here. CNet has a very good record of safe downloads. It is a 40 day free trial. I downloaded it a couple of days ago and it worked great. When your 40 days are up, you can uninstall it from your computer and be back to normal. Next... If you come to a texture that is just an image such as the Antique1 texture. Right click and copy it. This will copy the image to your computers clipboard. Open CS or Elements. Let's talk about using a photo mask. The coolest thing about this is, you can resize it any size you want. Start at the bottom. You will have your background paper. I have included the one shown. Then you will have your mask layer. (also included) Top will be your image. You will need to group your image to your mask. This can be done a number of ways. Let's talk about a couple. You can highlight your top image layer. Go to layer, create clipping mask. In Elements, it is Layer, group with previous. Or you can hold down your Alt key and click on the line separating the two layer and it will clip it together for you. Make your image the size you want it to be. I Just Love Textures!!

Taking this class has reminded me how much I truly love the look of textures added to an image. Being in the local camera club and trying to stay in line with the strict competition guidelines, I have forget my own style and have lost my way. NO, this won't make a 1st, 2nd, or even an honorable mention, but this is me!! How does that song go... I gotta be me!! I just love how this image of Grace turned out. First because the look is soooo Grace. :) You don't normally process an image of a child making a mad face. The parents want happy and big smiles. I do have to admit... she has come a long way as a Model. From the first time we had to send her Mom home to get some shots and then she cried because her Momma left he,r to the shots I did the other day, where I would say give me something fierce and I would get all these crazy poses. She is more comfortable with me now and unfortunately she is growing up. I am not sure when this was taken. I have so many images of her in my file
